Meeting the Queen…
In June 2014 I was swept up in a Royal Whirl meeting The Queen at St George's Market. She chose two tea towels and asked me "You make all this?" Pointing to my collection. "They're wonderful".
I muttered words I can't remember but the flashing lights of photographers were unforgettable. As she glided by to the next table her lady in waiting swooped in and placed two £10 notes in my hand in exchange for two linen tea towels.
